Scrap Metal Collector was killed

A farmer from KOTA KINABALU, who collected an unexploded bomb from the army's Camp Paradise shooting range for scrap metal, was killed when it exploded in his house at Kg Bengkahak Sum Sum in Kota Kinabalu.

Acting Kota Belud Deputy police chief Supt Mohan Nadasan when contacted confirmed that one person was dead and another slightly injured in the explosion.

Nadasan said that an investigation was underway but declined to elaborate.

It is learned that the victim had been collecting bomb shells from the shooting range in the area to sell as scrap metal.
